Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- 150 hours
Entry-level certification for caregivers, covering basic care skills, safety, and professionalism.
Home Care Aide (HCA) Certification
- 75 hours
AFH Administrator Training
- 60 hours

Specialty dementia training for AFH and Assisted Living professionals, covering communication strategies, behavioral support, medication considerations, and daily living care approaches.

Nurse delegation training focused on diabetes care for AFH and Assisted Living professionals, covering glucose monitoring, insulin administration, and safe management practices.

Adult Family Home Providers
Get Reimbursed for Caregiver Training
When your caregiver participates in and completes an approved HCA or CNA training program, we provide a training participation allowance to support their time in training.
This allowance may be used to:
• Reimburse wages while your caregiver is in training
• Offer a completion bonus once certification is achieved
• Provide sign-on or retention incentives for qualified staff
Sponsored by the AFH Council through the AFH Training Network, this program provides scholarships and reimbursement for approved training expenses to strengthen recruitment and retention.
